Why don’t parents get a diploma?
We go through all the phases of growing up. Changing diapers and wearing spit-up; chasing toddlers; little league and soccer; homework and tests; social successes and not-so-successes; teenage emotions, high school, grades, driving, and even college applications.
We work, worry, research, agonize and pray, hoping that we’re good enough parents and that our love is enough for them to find their way.
When they get to be 18, shouldn’t we get diplomas? Shouldn’t the diploma’s say:
